Akiya went to the edge of the stage and carefully handed Daichi his guitar, "Sure thing," he said with a soft smile. He began thinking what he should play for the other as he jumped off the stage and went to stand next to Daichi. So many songs to play.
"What would you like to drink?" Akiya asked his friend, he wondered if maybe it would be better if they went back to the dorm so that Daichi could get changed into something that was not sticking to his body.

Wow. Akiya really handed him the shiny instrument. Holding onto it now, Daichi felt honored but that only lasted a few moments. Straight after he felt his cheeky bone kick right in, and with a growing smile, the young man started walking off and out of the concert halls without answering Akiya.
With Akiya's guitar.
Then his pace started to quicken from a walk to a brisk stride and then he broke out into a run!
Oh no! Daichi the guitar-napper!

Akiya blinked a couple of times. He rolled his eyes and chuckled. He swears, he can't let his guard down with Daichi around.
He starts running after Daichi, and thanks to his soccer playing time, he's quick on his feet, "Daichi! Oi! I'm not buying you a drink if something happens to my guitar!" He yells trying not to laugh because he just can't be angry at Daichi, even if he just took off with his precious and only guitar.

"Hahaha!"
His chuckle filled the corridors as Daichi sped off towards the cafeteria where all the drinks were. Looks like Kre-san's antics have rubbed off and onto the youth. Obviously Daichi didn't really mean to steal Akiya's guitar and he found a choice spot to place it down, by a couch in the cafe that was right next to the canteen.
"Iced coffee?"
He teased with a smile, not minding his current appearance already the youth has his wallet pulled out.
"I'm buying today. You still haven't gotten your job, ne? I'm already working."

Akiya shook his head while trying not to laugh so much, he seriously couldn't get angry at Daichi, even if he had ran off with his guitar. At the mention of coffee he perked up like a dog who had just been told that he was going to get a treat. He nodded, but felt bad for having someone else buy him drinks when he had offered.
"Once I get a job, I'll treat you," he said not liking to have others pay for him. He would make sure to treat Daichi once he got a job. That was to be his goal for the moment.

Daichi's answer was a gentle pat on Akiya's back before he left for the cafe counter. He returned shortly with a tray of iced coffee, one with whipped cream and one without, placing the tray on their table along with a plate of lightly sweetened almond biscotti. "I'm sorry! I forgot to ask if you wanted whipped cream or not, so...just take whichever you prefer. Uh...this one's mocha, the other one's caramel." Daichi explained while settling down to his cushioned seat opposite Akiya, placing out the straws, servettes and stirrers. "So, who gave that to you?" He asked again, using his chin to gesture towards the guitar.

Akiya grabbed the iced coffee with whip cream. Whip cream and iced coffee are the best combination, well, to Akiya at least. Akiya took one of the straws and took it out of the packaging and used it to pick up some of the whip cream. He eagerly put it in his mouth and sucked it.
He replaced the straw into the coffee and took a sip before looking at his guitar. Well, he was going to need coffee if anyone expected him to talk more than one to two words.
"Mom," he said while taking another bit of the whip cream with the straw and doing the same thing he did before.

That was the iced mocha, and so Daichi settled with the caramel, helping himself to a piece of crunchy biscotti as he stirred his own coffee.
"A gift from home. That's really sweet."
The young man too had very supportive parents who helped him through the years of his very early career more than a decade ago, encouraging him through dance and singing and talent-time competitions until he was so weathered and experienced that it was comparable to a 30-year old participant. Okay...so maybe they were a little pushy but Daichi didn't mind.
Now he got distracted however, by the way Akiya was going at that whipped cream.
.......blush.
Daichi tore his gaze away from those soft lips. It's rude to stare!!

"My mom bought it for me behind my father's back," Akiya said while taking a sip of his coffee. He really did tend to talk a lot when he drank coffee. He had never noticed that until Kai had pointed it out to him. Oh, well.
As to Daichi's blush and stare, Akiya was usually oblivious to that sort of thing, probably because he never paid attention to other people's body language. And anyway, he was far too absorbed into his past memories to have noticed.

"Your dad's not into your music?"
It was an innocent enough question, not meant to bring up foul memories and Daichi simply wanted to know Akiya better. He could understand however, the controversy about music and art. It has always been the same ever since civilisation began. But Daichi believed in artists. He believed in poetry and in passion, that every profession in this world meant something and made up a proper contribution to the society. For mankind.
Doctors heal, scientists analyse, engineers invent, linguists record, artists beautify.
It may seem unnecessary in comparison to the other professions, yet the job of an artist remains crucial in the furthering of human culture. After all it is the collective work of generation after generation of artists that make up the identity of their time.
"Have you tried talking to him, maybe?"
Another useless question. Most likely Akiya did but with ill results. Again Daichi had to ask anyway, just for the sake of asking.
"Or perhaps discussed with your mother?"

Akiya just shrugged and smiled at Daichi, taking another bit of whip cream into his mouth, some of it ending up on the corner of his mouth--which is quickly swept by his tongue. He looked at his guitar and smiled.
"I tried talking to him, and of course, my mom tried talking to him as well, but my father had had his eyes set on me becoming a lawyer since before I was born," Akiya gave a humorless chuckle, "and it didn't exactly help that I turned out to prefer men over women."
He sighed noticing how this conversation had turned sour, "Sorry, we were supposed to be relaxing..."

"No, no it's okay. I'm relaxed."
Daichi replied as he took off his hoodie and tossed it over a chair nearby, still holding onto Akiya's handkerchief and mopping up the rest of his sweat with it.
"....I...should wash this before returning it to you."
He decided after looking at the sorry state of the hanky with a guilty look on his face. Daichi pocketed it then he looked up to catch his friend's dry chuckle.
"That's pretty common and not unheard of. I can't say I empathise but...I understand."
He placed a comforting hand over Akiya's and gave that a warm squeeze, then caught sight of that bit of whipped cream and that tongue sliding over the corner of that soft, sweet mouth. Daichi gave himself a mental kick and immediately withdrew his hand.
Yet somehow, the young man's warmth remained on Akiya's, even after they stopped touching. Daichi's palm was incredibly warm. And gentle.

Akiya smiled sweetly at Daichi and was glad that he had someone to speak to about this. "Thank you," he said and looked at him feeling better.
"You can keep it if you want it," he chuckled and took a sip of his coffee. He wondered how Daichi had known that he liked coffee, he chuckled at remembering how Kai had said that he would tell others about his love, scratch that, addiction to coffee.
Daichi's hand had comforted him, and he was sort of sad that he wasn't holding it anymore.

"Why not be a musician-lawyer? Or a lawyer-musician?"
It was an idea, albeit a tough one to execute.
"Lawyer by day, musician by night. It sounds rather romantic, don't you think? I think the ladies...uh...guys would fall for you, no sweat."
Oh...yes...right....Akiya just mentioned his uh...gender preference. That made Daichi blush harder.
"How did you find out? Er, I mean...er...about guys."

Akiya chuckled and shook his head at the idea. "I don't want to be a lawyer, it's not something I have ever liked or enjoyed, why become one when I don't want to be one?" He took another sip of his coffee, he loved coffee so much.
He paused when Daichi asked him the question as to when he had found out his preference for guys. He looked at his cup, "uh... I found out when my first love was a guy... He teased me a lot, and he used to bully me, but whenever I thought of him I got this tight feeling and the thought of not being able to see him anymore hurt..." he sighed, and gave a small nostalgic smile.
"He didn't return my feelings though, but he still liked to tease me about them..." he blushed when he remembered a way that he had teased him, and knowing how Akiya could never say no to what he told him to do.
