Aki and Akiya....
It's interesting how much difference in personality that one syllable can make. The two were like exact opposites, Daichi mused quietly as he stole a sidelong glance at his walking partner, heading off to the left wing of the main building that led towards the dorms.
....Sigh.

"Oh...I'm sorry. I was just...thinking about something. It's not you."
Daichi inwardly facepalmed upon realising that his sigh would most likely have been noticed by his new friend.
"I just finished unpacking so it's been quite tiring lately. Please forgive me. Though...you seem to have no problems with the class just now. It was so tough!"

Akiya smiled and shook his head, to mean that he didn't take any offense to the sigh. He had figured that the other man must have had something else on his mind.
"If... you want, you could borrow my notebook..." he said, speaking for the second time today. He just couldn't help but help others when they were having some sort of trouble, be it academic or personal. Also, it was the least he could do for the other, who had gotten rid of that horrible bug for him. Just the thought of it made him shiver.
Now that he thought of it, he wondered why he was so scared of bugs, that seemed like the most random thing to be afraid of.

The pair arrived at the dorms.
"May I? That's really helpful! Thank you."
Daichi looked positively grateful.
....And speak of the devil.
Just as Akiya was musing over bugs and their obscenities, there was another big one just outside of the other's dorm room. What's worse is, it's a freaking spider right next to the doorknob, big and hairy and with legs as long as Victoria's Secret models. Daichi didn't seem to notice however, and he was about to head for his own room which was just a little further down the hallway.

Akiya froze before he even tried to open his door. There was no way in hell he wasn't going to notice something this big on his door. If he were a girl, the natural reaction would have been to let out a loud scream, but he wasn't. He also wasn't the very vocal type, so there was no way he was going to scream.
Instead, he found himself taking steps back away from his door and leaning against the wall opposite his door. His eyes locked on the mother fucking big spider. What was with today and big insects?! At least they weren't his worse enemies: The cockroach and the stink bug, but still! This spider was huge, hairy, and just seemed to be close to being on Akiya's black list as well. He let out a quiet whimper of fear. He was trying to will the spider to go away, to move away from his door, but to not come anywhere near him.

"I'll see you tomorrow then, Kazuhiro-kun."
Daichi turned to greet his classmate from over a shoulder, only to see poor Akiya looking very much pale and horrified at the door before him. He followed the dotted line from Akiya's wide-eyed stare towards the doorknob. Or more specifically, the black fuzzy thing that was on the door.
Daichi paused in his steps then, turning back around with a swing of his duffel to approach that ghastly little beast, head tilted curiously and not without a smile.
"I guess this place is really old."
With a chuckle, he withdrew that same notebook from his bag, not rolling it up this time though and the young man used it as a shovel instead, scooping the fuzzy monster off Akiya's doorknob and keeping the arachnid on the top of his book.
"See you tomorrow, Kazuhiro-kun."
Daichi repeated again, smiling as he carried the spider away. He'll deal with this thing, no problem. Away and out of his classmate's peripherals.

Akiya just stared as Daichi took the horrible creature away from his door knob. He wanted to make sure that it was as far away from him as possibly. He still had this fear that it would jump from the notebook and attack him or something. He finally was able to remove himself from the wall, and started to follow Daichi from a distance.
"Miura-san...?" Akiya asked tentatively. He hated asking for favors, but since today he had met so many bugs, he really didn't feel like going into his room and finding more bugs later on.

Daichi continued walking though he did slow down a pace, turning to respond to the other's call. The reason why he didn't stop walking came after the young man finally halted in front of a window ledge by the hallways and he slid the window open with a groan of effort.
Creak!
Then Daichi looked out of the window to see if anyone was walking below. No? Good. Coast is clear. He held his notebook outwards and shook the spider off it.
"Just call me Daichi! It's okay!"
He said with his head still out of the window, smiling as he saw the hairy thing land safely on a tree leaf.

Akiya just kept his distance until he saw Daichi getting rid of the spider by throwing it out of the window. He sighed in relief and went to stand next to Daichi, making sure to not look out the window.
He wanted him to call him by his given name? Now that had been a long time since he did something like that. Akiya nodded in understanding.
"Da--Daichi-san... then..." Akiya said almost embarrassed by this, "w-would you come into my room...? Just to check that there are no more bugs in my room...?" Akiya fidgeted. How he wished he didn't have this stupid fear, this was so embarrassing.

......That's so cute!
The older male can't help but have a smile on his tanned features now. Daichi resisted the urge to chuckle as he readily agreed, shaking his head while gesturing towards Akiya's room.
"Of course! You must really hate bugs. I think...I think you need to gear up with insecticide."
He suggested with a sagely nod as he followed the other's footsteps right back towards that doorknob. Daichi set his duffel down by the entrance and rolled up the sleeves of his white dress shirt. This was a mission he was obliged to complete!
"Ready when you are."

Akiya followed close behind him. He usually didn't act like this, if he could avoid insects he would do so easily, but today it hadn't seem like he would get rid of bugs any sooner, and avoiding them in his room was not an option. Of course he was stacked up in insecticide, but some bugs just weren't affected by it. Like stink bugs.
"I'm ready..." Sort of. Maybe. OK, no, but there was no avoiding this.

Daichi was about to open the door but he noticed Akiya looking mighty pale over his shoulder. He paused then with a chuckle, resting a warm hand on the other's shoulder for a firm squeeze.
"Hey, you can wait outside, you know. It's okay."
Then he went inside the room to scour it for...yep, you guessed it. Bugs. Five minutes later Daichi stepped right out with empty hands. He looked rather pleased.
"All clear, Kazuhiro-kun."
The youth picked up his duffel bag and proceeded for his room then.
"See you tomorrow!"
He chirped in that beautiful voice of his, back facing Akiya with a hand raised over his head.

Akiya smiled relieved. He also hoped his room was clean when he had left this morning. He had been doing a mental check on where he had left his dirty clothes. Laundry bag. Check. Whether he had made his bed this morning. Yep. Check. Did he leave any remaining toothpaste on the sink. Nope. Good. Check. Was there any garbage in the room? Well, aside from the balls of paper that he ripped out while attempting to write music, there was nothing else that would be, will disgusting. Check.
When Daichi came out again, he was relieved that the other hadn't found anything in his room. He bowed politely to the other, and proceeded to enter his room after whispering a soft thank you. There's also a small problem with Akiya. He always. ALWAYS. Forgets to lock his door when he goes inside. And today was not an exception. He went in, closed the door, threw his bag on the bed, and proceeded to take off his clothes to go and take a shower afterward.
