Akiya sat on his desk by the window, and he found himself (like always), looking out of said window and just start to daydream. There wasn't much he could do since the class was boring him, and he hadn't had a good night's rest, the only thing was that he could never be able to fall asleep like many of the other students. He had to stay awake, and somewhat pay attention to what the teachers said. He scanned the entire scenery outside, and was then focusing on the details of the window when he froze.
... At the very top of the window, was a freaking huge moth. Never mind the thing was probably long dead, never mind the fact that even if it was alive, it wouldn't be able to get inside since it was winter and fucking cold! Nope. None of those reasons made sense to Akiya as he stared at the source of his horror. And no matter how much he wanted to get his eyes off of the horrible insect, he couldn't, he just sat there frozen and hoped that he wouldn't start to panic ('cause that would just be great-moving from the extremely quiet guy, to the type of guy who freaks out over nothing).

Good thing then that Akiya wasn't the only one who noticed said bug.
A strong silhouette stepped into the other youth's view, placing a hand on Akiya's desk as he stretched and reached up just a little higher to flick that thing away through the slightly open window, using his rolled up notebook to swat at it. Thankfully the bug went out instead of inside and this young man slid the slightly-opened windows shut.
He patted the moth dust off his rolled notebook on another classmate's desk, looking up then to catch sight of Akiya's effeminate visage. Then he smiled in a secretive sort of way before turning off to head for his desk. Which happened to be right beside the other's.
Don't worry, Akiya. Your secret of bug-fearing is safe with him.

Akiya blinked a couple of times when his view of the bug was blocked. He could feel his heart rate slowly start to slow down and the breath that he was holding was quietly being released as he saw what the other student was doing. He felt relieved and grateful to him. It was rare for someone to notice how distressed Akiya had been. Most people would just think that he was daydreaming or just staring into space.
As the bug was swatted away, Akiya felt himself return to normal as the horrifying creature disappeared from his view. Akiya almost chuckled at seeing Daichi clean his notebook on another poor student's desk. However, all he could let out was a small smile in return to Daichi's own smile.
As class went on though, he found himself looking over at Daichi and just wanting to thank him properly.

Well...what they don't know won't kill them.
Daichi had to hold in a little chuckle when said poor student came in from the back door of the classroom to sit down, exclaiming then in a puzzled fashion why his desk felt a little dusty.
Soon after the lecturer for the day stepped in. It was a music theory class and pretty much filled with more technical aspects of the subject, the whiteboard rapidly filled with charts and manuscripts and alphabets and numbers, almost as if they were sitting for a maths class. This had Daichi groan out after the 30th minute, his curly head sinking down to the table in a slump of defeat as he tried his best to copy down whatever he could from the board.
With one arm draped over the entire right side of his table, the young man had his chin propped up on the surface of the desk and it was then when he caught sight of Akiya looking at him. A wry grin touched his face then, and Daichi scribbled something on a new page of his notebook. Once done, he lifted it up discreetly to show Akiya.
//I'm dying.....//
Underlined and in bold font.

Akiya smiled softly when he saw the note Daichi was showing him through his notebook. He had been able to copy down almost everything that was said that would be important. He didn't know why he bothered sometimes, since it's not like he needed to study to get a C. He figured he should be trying harder since he was in a school that specialized in what he loved, but meh, old habits are hard to kill.
Akiya changed the page to the last few ones on his notebook and wrote something down.
//Thank you for helping me.// It said with a smiley face at the end. He was glad he didn't have to speak, because he knew that he would just clamp down his mouth and nod and smile so much people would just think he's mute.
Akiya + People + Conversation= No good.

Stare.
Daichi flopped his notebook back down on the desk and started scribbling below his first line, then he lifted it up again in the same fashion, this time with a lazy sort of smile.
//Thank YOU for helping me. I'm about to fall asleep!//
Hell yeah, he had no idea what on earth was happening now in this class and the stuff he copied down made no sense to him whatsoever. That smiley face was cute.
45 minutes into the class....another 15 more minutes.
Daichi yawned.

Akiya tried to hold back a chuckle. He didn't remember when was the last time he had fun in class. He quickly wrote down information that was important and then moved back to write on the back of his notebook.
//Don't fall asleep. Class is almost over D:// Akiya didn't know he could be this outspoken while, well, not speaking. He smiled at Daichi as he saw him yawn. He quickly went down to writing notes when something was said that would probably show up in a test or quiz, and then moved his gaze to look at his classmate again.

...Too late.
Daichi was already fast asleep on the desk, with his notebook propped up and shielding his curly head from the lecturer way up in front.
"............Zzzz...."
To the gods...was he even beginning to snore?!
Well, the bell did ring and it being the final class for the day, most of the students dispersed with some stragglers staying behind to chat with classmates in their cliques. No one came to bother Daichi however, and he was left snoozing on his desk.
The young man was a new addition to the class, after all.

Akiya shook his head and packed his stuff into his book bag. Akiya stood up then and looked over at Daichi, wondering if he should wake him up. He really didn't know how to deal with people, but he figured that he should try to wake the sleeping figure, he doubted anyone else would if he just went back to his dorm room.
He tentatively approached the other and shook his shoulder lightly. If he wanted to sleep, he could go to his dorm room and sleep all he wanted, but here, he could easily catch a cold.

"....!!!"
That light shaking was enough to rouse the young male and he jerked up from the comfortable pillowing his folded elbows made on the desk, looking up blearily for a moment or two before his hazels settled on Akiya's boyish features.
"Ah! Oh no....!"
GROAN.
His head flopped back onto the desk with a dull thud upon realising that class was long gone over and the young man had missed out nearly everything of the later part of the lecture. Well, it didn't matter anyway since he couldn't even fathom the first half of it.
Either way he was pretty much in trouble.
"I'm so sorry!"
Daichi apologised as he stood up with a polite bow to Akiya, shuffling to sweep everything on his desk into his Evisu duffel bag.
This young man wasn't handsome like most of the boys in school, neither did he exude a particularly interesting charisma, but his voice....
Daichi's voice was smooth as chocolate and sweeter yet. It was a pleasure to listen to it, soft and sensitive and masculine, and the way he moved held a certain grace. A grace that belied his passion for dancing.
"Thank you again!"
He said once more to Akiya, running a hand through the back of his tousled curls and smiling just a little sheepishly. Daichi shouldered his bag and was hopping out of his chair to leave when he stopped in mid-step and turned to look at his classmate and possibly, new-found friend.
"Are you leaving too?"
Maybe they could walk together.

Akiya looked at Daichi with an amused curiosity. The way the other student moved was very graceful, even though he was in a hurry. Akiya wondered what he did in this school. He didn't seem like an instrument-playing-sort-of-guy, maybe he was a vocalist or a dancer? He picked up his bag when he saw that Daichi was going to leave, almost dropping his bag when he saw him stop and ask him whether he was leaving too.
Akiya gave a small nod and held tightly to his book bag. He liked Daichi's voice, it was nice and soothing, which made him wonder again whether he was a vocalist, but then again, not everyone with a nice voice was a vocalist. There was something about Daichi's voice that just relaxed him.

Akiya's consistent silence didn't bother Daichi. In fact he found it interesting. After all the other fellow students that he had met so far....they spoke too much.
Waiting for Akiya to step next to him, Daichi started out into the corridors at a comfortable walking pace with both hands tucked into the pockets of his Levis, enjoying the companionable silence. He wasn't a man of many words himself and truth be told, the youth had been forced into way too much shouting as of late.
...Thanks to a certain demonlord Aki.
But unpleasantries aside, Daichi decided that it was time to formally introduce himself to his new friend.
"I'm Miura Daichi. I just moved in last week."
Daichi...Daichi...isn't that the famous 9-year old who wowed Japan TV with his slick dance moves and beautiful voice a decade ago?

Akiya blinked a couple of times, could it be that this man was waiting for him to walk together? That hadn't happened to him since he had been in middle school, or probably even in elementary school. Before the man decided to change his mind and walk away without him, Akiya stepped into the pace Daichi was walking. He wondered if his silence annoyed the other, but if it did, he wouldn't have waited for him.
When the other introduced himself, the name seemed to be familiar to him. He started to think where he had heard it before. He pushed the thought away, knowing that he would figure it out sometime soon.
"Kazuhiro Akiya," he said in return in a small voice. Talking to others was so awkward and he was surprised that his voice wasn't rough from lack of use.

"Kazuhiro-kun."
Daichi greeted with a polite bow then, smiling. Nope, he didn't seem one bit annoyed by the other's continued silence. They reached a fork at the end of the classroom corridors and with a lift of his eyebrows, Daichi pointed to the left with a questioning look.
He was heading back to the dorms. Was Akiya going the same way?
Hopefully...just hopefully Aki wasn't around when they got back.

Akiya blushed slightly as the other bowed politely. No one did that to him ever. He smiled and nodded as Daichi pointed to the direction of the dorms. It was kind of silly how Akiya was just getting to know someone at this time of the year, but some people just took longer to make friends. He wondered if he would ever be able to speak comfortably with his fellow classmate. He really hoped so. If people saw him with his childhood friends, they would think he's a different person from how much he laughed and talked and teased them.
Akiya was very relaxed being in company with Daichi and he normally was not fazed by the many antics of the other students.
