Personality: Ever since he was a boy, Daichi was intrigued by the idea of love, of falling in love and being in love. Yet as he grew up and matured, the youth gradually developed an inferiority complex, noticing that he was lacking in the looks and personality department and that he would never ever be a Mr Right. Despite the emotional setbacks, Daichi remains optimistic in everything else, with work and social life and continues to strive and do his best for everything that he can. He is an all-around nice guy, perhaps a little too nice, a softie and a hopeless romantic. Maybe one day…just one day, he would find his true love.

History: Daichi is the former lead singer of Folder, where he was dubbed "Japan's Smallest Soulman". His showbiz career began at the age of 9 when he wowed audiences with slick dance moves and powerful vocals. He took a break from the music business at the age of 12 when his voice began to break. Daichi then picked up his pop career again after his 21st, with the solo single entitled ‘Keep It Goin’ On’. He is now a contracted Avex Trax artiste who has collaborated with other famous musicians like BOA, Sowelu, Kreva and even the Disney team.
Seeking inspiration from legendary R&B and Soul singers like Toshinobu Kubota and Crystal Kay, Daichi decides to join the Academy to brush up his music background and strengthen his foundations. Through the recommendation of several lecturers, Ageha offers Daichi a customised training regime to suit his needs for his career ahead.

Daichi says to no one in particular as he shoulders his large Evisu duffel bag, with a set of innocent eyes large and aimed at the massive placard that adorned the Academy’s entrance.
“I seriously, can’t believe, I’m back…In school!!”
The young man lifted both fists up in the air with an excited yell, feeling a pleasant anxiety fill his guts and he enjoyed its thrill. Unfortunately, the singer’s actions had quite a few other fellow students looking warily in his direction, causing him to realise what a sight he must have made right there at the entrance of his new school.

Daichi cowered beneath their questioning stares and meekly retracted his hands, head bowed as the young male shuffled into the school without another word but “Sorry…sorry…sorry…excuse me…sorry…”
…Maybe he should just head for the dorms and hide in there for the rest of his term.
