Personality: Jaewook is a warm and caring individual. That being said, he’s also very open and honest. If you want to know the truth, he’ll tell you but he won’t try to be deliberately hurtful…only if he feels the person deserves it.
As an openly gay man, he’s very comfortable with himself. Confident but not cocky. He knows he looks good and he loves to flirt but not to an annoying degree. He’s good at reading people’s moods and can tell when to back off unless he feels as if the person needs a good push. He’s perceptive that way.
Despite his outgoing nature, he’s also a very deep thinker and can lapse into contemplative silences. He puts all of his effort into everything he does, trying to live life to the fullest. He’d rather regret doing something than not doing it at all.
He’s got a quirky sense of style and tends to lean towards a more indie vibe. Jae’s a chameleon. He can fit into any social situation and changes his look on a daily basis to suit his mood.
Habits: He’s a flirt, he can be –very- honest, he likes a clean, organized environment and tends to go on cleaning sprees. He shops…a lot. He tends to play with his hair a lot, different ways depending on the situation and mood. He likes languages and apart from being fluent in Japanese and Korean, he’s also fluent in French, English, Mandarin and Cantonese and is currently learning Spanish because he likes the way it sounds.
Likes: Music, school, fashion, writing, dancing, going out to clubs and bars, cigarettes, bright colors, good drinks and good friends, soccer, hot springs, staying in shape. He also loves orange juice.
Dislikes: Messes, country music, idiots, bullying, carrots.
History: Jaewook grew up in a middle-class family in South Korea. When he was still a baby his father got transferred to Japan and the family stayed there until he was nine. When they finally came back to their native country, the boy was more fluent in Japanese than in his native tongue.
He was a good student but a bit of a trouble maker.
Music came into his life at an early age. He started playing piano at five and picked up a guitar at eight after hearing his brother’s Beatles album playing. He proved a quick talent at both and his parents encouraged the budding musician.
Grunge rock like Nirvana as well as other 90’s rock groups like Oasis, Silverchair and various obscure groups were his inspiration and he listened to a lot of early rock; Beatles, The Doors, Rolling Stones, The Animals etc.
During his second year in high school a model scout picked him out for his androgynous good looks and height. [6ft]. After a successful first year of modeling, the teenager decided that although he enjoyed it, he wanted to focus fulltime on music and retired from modeling at the ripe old age of 15. Instead he started up a band with some friends, surprising everyone with a deep, rich voice as lead vocalist.
A friend in Japan sent told him about Ageha and after thoroughly researching the school, Jae begged his parents to let him try. After some thought, they agreed but told him he needed to finish high school first.
He took it to heart and graduated early, just shy of his 17th birthday. He hopped a plane to Japan and passed the entrance exams with flying colors.
He’s now in the midst of his third year at the prestigious academy and despite the stress and extra curricular parties, is making excellent grades.
RP Example: The slender figure let out a soft hum under his breath. The sun was particularly vibrant that afternoon and he’d chosen a well-shaded spot beneath an old tree as the optimal homework location. His black acoustic was lying beside him and the composition book open before his crossed legs.
“Jaewook!” He glanced up, grinning and offering a wave at a passing acquaintance. The wind fluttered the pages of his notebook and he jotted a quick few notes before anchoring the papers down with a rock.
His mind drifted and he found himself leaning back against the soft bark of the tree trunk. A cigarette was fumbled out of his pocket and quickly lit. As he exhaled a cloud of smoke with a deeply contented sigh, the composition began to take form in his head.
